Jack Boarman has more than 40 years of experience in the design of government, higher-education, residential, and mixed use buildings. Since founding the firm in 1978, Jack has led the firm’s team-oriented design approach in the development of quality architecture across the country. He has expanded the design practice for planning, programming and design of urban redevelopment projects and historic renovations.

Warees is a licensed architect with over 20 years experience in mixed-use and market-rate multifamily architecture and design. He is an active member of NOMA and serves on the 2022 AIA Virginia Outreach Advisory Council. He is passionate about the role of architecture in changing lives, as well as, cultivating emerging professionals through mentorship, education, and inclusion initiatives like project pipeline. He has worked in Pittsburgh, Florida, Virginia, and Washington D.C. on a vast range of disciplines including healthcare, education, civic, and correctional facilities projects. Warees has established strong working relationships with clients by finding unique solutions to complex problems, and providing value through collaborative design and attention to detail. Through clear communication and open dialogue, Warees brings his passion for success to each project.

Willy is a dedicated and highly motivated senior designer with 23+ years of experience in single and multi-family residential design as well as retail interiors. His diverse experience encompasses new construction, renovation, expansion, and planning of complex large-scale residential, student housing, hotel, and mixed-use projects. Willy is a valued leader at BKV Group and is known for his contemporary design aesthetic, attention to detail, and collaborative approach to leadership. Willy excels in collaborative relationships with clients and motivates team members to achieve deadlines and work within project constraints.

Mark Manetti has over 25 years of experience managing projects for different government agencies. He has worked on multiple public facilities including public safety, library, recreation centers. In addition, many of the projects Mark has developed have had historic significance and jurisdictional purview through local historic boards and regional groups such as the District historic preservation office (HPO) the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), and the National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC). Mark works closely with his clients to document their standard workflows and to translate those into an appropriate building program. Mark is an advocate for resiliency in government projects and has in-depth knowledge of applying sustainable standards to public facilities. Mark approaches projects with focus and a sense of urgency that promotes decision making and moves schedules forward.

Kobita is a creative designer with over 20 years of experience leading our holistic teams in delivering award-winning residential, hospitality, and workplace projects. By interpreting client aspirations and turning them into creative solutions, Kobita delivers high-quality products while adhering to tight deadlines and budget constraints. In overseeing a team of design professionals, Kobita is responsible for the management and implementation of design concepts through completion, seamlessly balancing multiple concurrent projects. Kobita is adept at all phases of design, documentation, and construction, and has in-depth knowledge with detailing, materials, methods, codes, project schedules, and budget. Kobita provides inspiration and mentorship to her design teams, and creates a strong design culture that encourages professional growth, collaboration, and design exploration.

Benjamin is a dedicated Project Manager with 20+ years of experience on a variety of projects ranging from small tenant fit-outs to large-scale new construction developments. His portfolio includes multifamily housing, hotels, adaptive reuse, and commercial buildings. Ben’s responsibilities as a Senior Project Architect include coordinating the project team, providing technical leadership, and executing the design vision for the project. He is active in every aspect of the project, from schematic design to construction administration. In addition, Ben brings professionalism, great leadership skills, and creative thinking to the whole team.
